Indie-Folkster from Seattle, Washington
Brent Carpenter happy as a clam at his wedding reception, singing to his lovely wife Janet Stebbins. Janet has been a huge source of inspiration to Brent. Their joy for music was one of the first bonds that brought them closer. Brent Allen Carpenter is a musician who has lived in Seattle, Washington his whole life and has written songs and composed music for the better part of thirty-five years. Most of his musically output has taken place in bands. * His story is similar to other punk rockers and metalheads that have answered the call to take up the acoustic guitar and serenade his friends from time to time.
Most of Brent’s solo “career” has been sporadic performances around Seattle. He admits that solo performances “are terrifying. I’m a band guy! I don’t like being the only one on stage and usually have to force myself to play solo twice a year just to do it…”
Although shows are sparse, he enjoys the creative process; writing and recording is one of his favored artforms. Lithic Records has been going through his catalog and re-mastering some of the older sessions. At the time of this writing (11/13/24) Brent is working on a new full length effort. We’ll keep you posted.
